The modules may be connected using different sections, each offering a different appearance to suit individual design requirements. An equally wide range of partition finishes are available including various paint applications, veneer, vinyl and fabric PARTITIONS SYSTEM 80, SYSTEM 90 Designed for use with 13mm plasterboard and 51mm or 64mm studs, the Partitions System 80 and System 90 are suitable for both drywall (plasterboard). These systems are also well suited for silicone butt-jointed glass partitioning. Design Permits Award contract cost planning Preparation Construction CEILINGS Exposed grid systems are a simple, quick and cost effective way of installing a ceiling to your office, factory or shop. These systems allow easy access to the ceiling space for associated trade work such as electrical and air conditioning which will ensure you get the best price for your overall fitout. Which require complete dust free working zones? Exposed Grid Systems are installed in a 1200mm x 600mm pattern and 600mm x 600mm pattern. The grid is then fitted with either an acoustic or plaster tile. Acoustic tiles, as well as having acoustic capabilities, are available in a range of designs and patterns. Flush plaster ceilings and bulkheads are installed over a concealed grid, then painted or decorated as required. Sound absorption is a primary design criterion for ceiling tiles. A ceiling tiles ability to absorb sound is measured in three ways 1. NRC - Noise Reduction Coefficient Measures the average percentage of noise a material absorbs at four frequencies. This key measure of absorption of general office noise is expressed as single value percentage, with a generally acceptable maximum value of 0.70 and a preferred value of 0.75 to 1.00 in open pan office. 2. AC - Articulation Class Rates ceilings suitability for achieving normal privacy in open office spaces by absorbing noise reflected at an angle of the ceiling into adjacent cubicles. The angles simulate the movement of reflected sound waves passing over the office partitions in the frequencies critical to speech intelligibility and conversational privacy. The generally accepted AC rating for normal privacy in open plan is minimum 170, with 190 or 210 proffered. AC is the primary measure of acoustics in the open plan. 3. CAC - Ceiling Attenuation Class Rates structures efficiency as a barrier of airborne sound at 16 speech frequencies. It is an especially significant measure in providing acoustic privacy between adjacent work areas, where sound can penetrate plenum spaces and carry to other spaces. CAC is stated as aminimum value; CAC minimum 25 is acceptable in open plan offices, while a rating minimum 35 or 40 is preferred for closed offices.
